Accelerating Progress in Hematology
The ASH RC is currently accepting nominations for its Board of Directors on a rolling basis for the 2024 term. Those interested should submit a brief (100 words or less) statement of interest and CV/resume. Both ASH members and non-members are eligible. Show your commitment to advancing critical research and working to accelerate positive change for people living with hematologic conditions. The ASH RC is a non-profit organization established by the American Society of Hematology (ASH) in 2018 to improve the lives of people affected by blood diseases by fostering collaborative partnerships to accelerate research in hematology. The ASH RC is currently focused on two disease areas: sickle cell disease and multiple myeloma.
The ASH RC has two foundational components:
The ASH RC supports the overall mission of ASH and is a supporting organization to the Society.
The Board is responsible for setting the overall strategic direction, assuring resources are aligned to accomplish strategic goals, measuring/overseeing that goals are met, and maintaining alignment with ASH.
Board members will be vetted and selected by a working group of the ASH Executive Committee and asked to serve at least one term (each term is three years). As the Board launches in 2024, these terms will be staggered. Both ASH members and non-members are eligible to nominate or be nominated to the ASH RC Board with terms starting in 2024.
The ASH RC seeks board members from a variety of personal and professional backgrounds, industries, and areas of expertise. The board seeks to be a holistic governing body whose diversity of experience can assist the organization as it plans for a sustainable future.
