Committee Charge

The Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) Program Leadership Team reports to the ASH RC Board of Directors and its charge is to:

Serve as the governing body for the SCD Research Network Council,
Establish strategic priorities,
Promote the use of the ASH RC Network for research and quality improvement purposes, and
Monitor research, data, and community activities.

The SCD Program Leadership Team is comprised of chairpersons from the Data Quality Project Team, National Community Advisory Board, Scientific Research Project Team and one member-at-large. The member-at-large serves a three (3) year term with a potential for one additional three (3) year term. Up to two ASH RC senior advisors will serve as ex officio non-voting members. The Program Leader Team updates the ASH RC Board on topics discussed.
