Gary Schiller, MD, serves as chair; Roy L. Silverstein, MD, serves as secretary-treasurer; and Andrew M. Evens, DO, MBA, MSc, continues as vice chair. Mark Crowther, MD, MSc, LLM, FRCPC, FRSC, who previously served as chair, has transitioned to the role of director, where he will continue to provide leadership and expertise in support of ASH RC’s mission.
ASH RC is pleased to welcome three new directors: Margaret Anderson, MA; Adama Ibrahim, EMBA; and DB Kartik, MBA, CFA. Consistent with ASH RC’s governance approach, the Board includes directors who are not hematologists and bring critical skills and perspectives that advance the organization’s strategy and mission.
- Ms. Anderson has advanced major health and science movements throughout her career, with a focus on patient-centered research, women’s health research, HIV/AIDS, and pandemic response.
- Ms. Ibrahim has more than 25 years of experience across the United Kingdom’s National Health Service and multiple global life sciences organizations, where she has led large-scale clinical research and digital transformation efforts in highly regulated environments.
- Mr. Kartik brings deep expertise in healthcare data strategy, registry-based research, real-world evidence generation, financial oversight, strategic planning, and organizational scaling.
Their diverse professional backgrounds and perspectives strengthen the Board’s collective expertise and further support ASH RC’s work to advance collaborative hematology research.
ASH RC thanks its Board members for their continued service and looks forward to the Board’s leadership as it advances patient-centered, impactful research in hematology.
